So Ally is a happy go lucky single girl living in Boston. Despite the fact that she doesn't seem to be an executive or anything she has a pretty big and adorable apartment. Unfortunately she is laid off early into the movie. Not to worry, her mom seems rich and her sister is about to get married. Ally is all happy go lucky living her life until, she sees an article in a magazine that suggests if she has more than 20 lovers, she won't get married. As she has had about 19 lovers, panic ensues, no one really knows why, perhaps unemployment anxiety, and that sets the action in motion. Ally decides to look up all the men she slept with and try to marry one -- that way she will be under 20 lovers.

All of this would not be funny at all without the great Anna Faris, who makes this journey funny no matter how silly. At about the same time Ally meets her neighbor Colin. The amazingly hot and funny Chris Evans. If Chris Evans lived next to me, I would not be worried about ex lovers... but Ally writes Colin off because he is kind of a player. But she sees an opportunity in that he comes from a cop family so he helps her find her old loves if she lets him hide in her apartment to get rid of his unwanted one night stands. As you might expect, during this process they bond and become good friends and then, they kind of notice that they are mutually attractive. But Ally becomes distracted by a very impressive and available long lost love and worries about Colin's player ways. I bet you see where this is going.

Faris and Evans have great chemistry and, although at times the script doesn't seem to make sense, it is fun anyway because the characters seem to be having such fun. Plus anyone who loves Boston . . . the city never looked better and is featured prominently. If you are looking for deep lessons or feminist points about men and women and double standards, this isn't for you. But if you want to have a little fun check this on out with an appropriate sensibility about what to expect.
